My extraordinary Day - George

!My First Day Of Online School!

My day started of when I woke up at 5 o'clock, my head wasn't in the game so I went back to sleep for an hour and then woke up around 6 o'clock. Then I got up and woke up my cousin so he would get ready for his school. Then we ate breakfast such as neutral grain and weetbix, it was delightful. After that we did a little bit of gaming which makes my actively awake. Then I get changed, brushed my teeth and did my hair. Then came 9:45, that's when school call/role starts.

As we finished our roll we students went along and said what we've been doing for the past few weeks of no-school. As if for me I have been doing early walks and playing games/video games with my family members and the students from our class. I've also been lifting in my cousins back house which has lifting gears, I can tell you now that it was pretty hard. My goal is to do that for 30 minuets straight for 30 days, if I miss a day I add up the 30 minuets for the next time I do it.

Then our teacher told us about what we will be doing for our work. Then as any other kid I started doing my work and so far i'm doing a decent amount of work that's almost finished.

My memories teleport me back to the beach. I remember being there with my family and my beloved auntie I treasure. I can hear the beautiful music running through the fresh air entering my ears. I can smell the deliciousness of roast chicken and fresh sausages. We swam in the salty, cold sea, the water level was so low it made me feel taller. Then we as a family took a photo, including my beloved auntie.

My parents called my cousins and I because food was ready to be served.

First Week Of School

!!!Back To School - 2020!!!

On the first day of school, I was pumped up because I felt like this year will be the best year I've ever had, and because of how much fun experience I had since the previous year. I knew this year was going to be different because students from the past year will no longer be in our view/sight. During our first day of school we learnt some inspirational words that can reflect and be used in our learning. In the first day of school we had a few students from the previous class coming to our fantastical class.

Then the second day of school came, as our class was different I decided to catch up with my friends including the new students in our class. We, as a class discussed some deadly element that can kill you, which is a disease called a coronavirus. We also had the chance to have a game outside which is really healthy for our mind and heart.

-Friday

As the third day of school, I became more and more confident about this year. I promised to my self to make this year count as this is the last year I'm going to be around St.Patrick's school. I'm also exited to see myself progress in my learning, attitude towards learning, and towards other everyone.

Treasure Box

Preserving the Treasure Box 

Houses being destroyed into piles, Library burnt down, books and pages tattering and shredding everywhere as the fire burns them into little pieces.

As I was playing outside with my friends out of nowhere I heard a loud explosion coming from the house next to mine. I ran as fast as I could to get back to my house as I hear the soldiers ordering the people to get out of their houses. As I got inside my house my dad quickly grabs me and holds on to me until we get to the basement.

As we get down there my dad pulls out a treasure box from under the stairs, he tells me to keep the treasure safe, I replied,  “but we have no treasure no ruby no silver no gold. “Dad opened the box and inside he pulled out a book and said “this book is about our people, he said, it's rarer than rubies, more splendid than silver, and greater than gold. He told me “promise to keep our treasure safe” and I replied “yes' father”.

As the soldiers ordered us out we packed our our personal items, including food, clothes and other materials to survive as we go on a journey to find a new village. My father told me that we are going to run through the backdoor so we don’t get caught. Then my dad said we will go at 3, 1 2 3! My dad and I ran as fast as we could through the back door. While I was running I could see people crying and hugging each other. My nose quickly caught the smell of burnt paper coming from the library that was destroyed, I also smelt fear which I feel within my body from top to bottom. I felt frightened, unsafe as I spot a dead person who had been assassinated.

Later on, as we ran out of the village, I notice so many people made it out alive. I see them a few miles away.  I look up to the sky, while walking, I could see the black smoke spreading from one side to another covering the blue sky and the sun. 

 We have been walking for several hours my legs have become extremely sore and I also realized that my dad is coughing and has started walking very slowly. As we are walking my dad falls on the ground. I become so worried I stop walking and I grab a blanket from my bag and put it on top of him to keep him warm. He wakes up and he said “what happened.”  I said “when we were walking all of a sudden you crumbled to the ground.”

We both laid there for a while. He said “promise to keep our treasure safe” I was confused and I wondered why was he saying that. Later on he laid on the floor and never woke up. I burst into tears as I ran to get some help. The people ran to my father and one of them told me to wait. A few minutes passed. One of my fathers friends came up to me and said sorry you’re dad didn’t make it. My heart dropped as soon as they told me, I dropped to my knees and I looked down and I closed my eyes “why father, you should have told me sooner.” The people buried my father and they put flowers all over the grave. The people  told told me to “leave the treasure box behind, we have a long way to go.”  But instead I leave my suitcase instead of the treasure box so I could honor my father's promise. 

As I was walking I hear one of the people yelling “LOOK GUYS A VILLAGE!,” I was so surprised, I ran over and there I see A VILLAGE.  I decided to bury the treasure box under a linden tree as I knew my hands couldn’t hold it any longer. When I got to the village there were people there, they greeted me and the other villagers. I kind of felt unsafe and a little bit scared because I don’t trust them, but I had no other choice but to accept what's in front of us. They seemed really kind because they offered us food if we were hungry. They started preparing the food for me and the villages. 

One of the villagers offered me a shower, I replied “yes” because I’ve been walking for days without showering.. As I finished I felt so refreshing and I could smell the delicious food coming from the dining room.  I got there and realised the villagers are already sitting down waiting for me before they started eating. We all sat down and started to eat the delicious food the villagers prepared for us. Before I ate my food I said a little prayer about my father wishing he was here with me. Later on I decided to live there because I felt  it was the best for me, and so I did.

Now I am a grown man and I go to college. For the past few years I've enjoyed my life because I’ve been getting good grades.. I decided to visit my dad’s grave. It’s been awhile, I thought to myself.  I went back to my father’s grave, I visualized my footsteps and I also knew I was in the right place because of the dead tree. I brought some fresh flowers and  put all around the grave. Then I said a little prayer about my father and talked to him about the college I go to and my grades. I also told him about how the people always respected me, including the people that looked after me. Finally I decided to dig up the treasure box next to the linden tree. 

As I arrived I saw a little girl and asked her to help me dig up the treasure box, she replied with a yes and so we dug it out. Then she said, “is there any jewelry.”  I grabbed the treasure box and opened it, pulling out the book.  “Oh, it's just a book” the little girl said. “It not just a book, it's a book about our people, it’s rarer than ruby, more splendid than silver, and greater than gold.” 

After that I took the book back to the library and put it on the shelf where it belonged.

Shark are cold blooded animals. They are not mammals, they are fish.

There are many different kinds of sharks. Sharks eat other fishes. The amount of food that a shark eats each day depends on the type of shark it is. Some sharks eat huge food then it will not eat for a week.

Sharks can smell blood even from a distance.  Sharks  propel itself through the water using its tail.Other sharks move their bodies from side to side to move through the water.They have fins for balancing and to keep them afloat otherwise they will sink.

Sharks are one of the dangerous fish in the world.

Learning Intention:We are learning how to persuasive writing.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when someone agrees with my persuasive writing.

I think people should not cut down trees.

Trees are very special because we can use it to make medicine that can heal us when we are sick.We should not be cutting down trees because we can pick up fruits that is healthy and gives us energy.Trees are very important because it gives us oxygen to breath and if we don't have oxygen we will die.

We can use woods from trees to build houses full of furniture that can be use for sitting, sleeping, and relaxing.Trees are used to make pencils, chairs, toys, tables bins, boxes and crosses with statues in it.
We can use wood to build parts of playground to play and have lots of fun.

I think trees are important in our life.

Maui dolphins- By George

Maui Dolphins are mammals.

Maui dolphins are gray. Maui dolphins gather together and they eat any type a fish. Maui dolphins use their tails to move up and down through the water. Maui dolphins use their fins for balancing.Maui dolphins are so small that they can fit in a bathtub. They are found in the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand.

Maui dolphins are one of the most interesting and endangered dolphins.

How do cats show their feeling?

L.I.-W.A.L.T.-we are learning to write an explanation.

Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write a question in the heading, an introduction to tell about the topic, and series of points telling how and why.

When cats are frightened they show their feeling when their hair goes up because they heard loud noise like things that fell and crash.You can scare the cats when you say boo very loud.Cats are frightened because they are scared of dogs barking.Cats can easily get scared when they heard the vacuum working. 

When cats are angry they show their feelings when they scratch your hands, scratch some paper and they bit your hands and legs. When they fight other cats they growl because they are angry.

Conclusion:Cats are the most cutest animal you will ever own.

My Cousin's Birthday

In the holidays I went to my cousin’s birthday.  My cousin turned 11 years old.  First we celebrated my cousin’s birthday and we sang a happy birthday song.  Next my cousin’s brother and I ate pizza.  After that we were very full.  Then we watched the movie Clash of the Clans.  It was cool.  It was cool because there were some Picals and Max Golems, a Dragon and a Max Wizard. 

Later we played hide and go seek.  I was the one doing the counting.  The first person I found was my brother Christian, then I found my cousin.  Finally my dad brought our gufull blanket and our pillow.  We slept over at my cousin’s house.

Happy Father's Day

On Father's Day I gave my dad a Father's Day card when he was sleeping.  Then my family and I went to Sylivia Park.  When we arrived there we went to eat Burger King food.  Next we went to see a movie.  It was called 'I Robot'.  Before the movie started I went and got some popcorn and somethning to drink.  It was a very movie.  It was one good robot and lots of  bad robots.  The good robot beat the bad robots. 

After that we went to the Panmure park.  First I played on the monkey bars.  Then I played on the slide with my friend.  His name is JT.  We had lots of fun and then we went back home.

Queen’s Birthday Weekend

On the weekend I went to the swimming pool with my mum and my brother.  My brother’s name is Christian.  First we changed into our swimming togs at home.  Then we all walked to the swimming pools.  The pools are close to our home.  At the pool my brother and I had a long swim. 

The water was warm and it had a lot of chlorine in it.  The chlorine helps to keep the water clean.  There were lots of people at the pool so it was good to have some chlorine in the water.

I did a bomb dive and then I swam to the other side of the pool.  I made a big splash.  I used a flutter board.  Christian and I kept throwing it around and then swimming after it.  The first one to get the flutter board was Christian. He can swim faster than me.  Christian was swimming when I was still in my mum’s stomach, before I was born.  I almost bombed Christian but not quite.  I didn’t swim to the very end because the pool is very long.  I had a fantastic time swimming at the pools. 

Mother's Day

On Mother’s Day my mum, my brother and I went to the swimming pool.  At the swimming pool I bombed, dived and splashed with my mum and my brother.  The best thing I liked doing was bombing.  I made short splashes.  It was fun.

After that we went to the Sylvia Park shopping mall.  At the mall we went shopping.  We bought an Xbox 360, with games, at the Warehouse.  It was cool but I would really like to get an Xbox Live so that I could play online with my friends.

After that we went to McDonald’s and to KFC to get some food to eat and something to drink.  Some of the food was very expensive.  It was very busy in the food court.  We had a nice lunch and I was full.  My mum was happy.  We all had a good Mother’s Day.
