Success Criteria:I am successful when I write a report about sharks.

Shark are cold blooded animals. They are not mammals, they are fish.

There are many different kinds of sharks. Sharks eat other fishes. The amount of food that a shark eats each day depends on the type of shark it is. Some sharks eat huge food then it will not eat for a week.

Sharks can smell blood even from a distance.  Sharks  propel itself through the water using its tail.Other sharks move their bodies from side to side to move through the water.They have fins for balancing and to keep them afloat otherwise they will sink.

Sharks are one of the dangerous fish in the world. 

Whales By- George.

Learning Intention:Write a report.

Success Criteria:I am successful when I can write a report about whales.

Whales are mammals.They are warm blooded.

Whales feed  milk to their babies. They are very big .  Some whales are gray, some are blue,some are black and white.  They have large mouth and sharp teeth.Some whales move with their flippers. Whales use their fluke or tails for swimming. They also use  their tails to move around  by moving up and down. 

Whales lives in the ocean. The blue whales are the largest mammal.It is larger than any dinosaur.The biggest recorded blue whales was a female in the Antarctic ocean that was 30.5m (more then 3.5 times the length of a double-Decker bus and as long as a Boeing 737 planes) with an estimated weight of 144 towns (almost the same as 2,000 man.)

Most whales can live for 40 years and some special blue whales can live for over 100 years. 

Pigs- George.

Learning Intention: WALT..write a report about the life of a pigs.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I write a report about pigs.

Pigs are animals.Pigs body is covered with hair.

A baby pig or a piglet weight about 1.50 kilograms at birth and will double its weight in just 7 days.Pigs are great swimmers, but, they roll around the mud to cool their skin.Pigs have 4 toes in each hoof but only walk on two toes per foot.      

Pigs are intelligent animals.Like humans, pigs are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and other animals.A pigs snout is important tool for finding food in the ground and sensing the world around them.Pigs have excellent sense of smell.There are around 2 billion pigs in the world.

People can use pigs as their pet.Wild pig are often hunted in the world.Pigs can learn quickly.They pick up tricks faster then dogs.Pigs are very social animals.

The life cycle of a frog- George

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a report about the life cycle of a frog.

Success Criteria:I am successful when I can write a report about the life cycle of a frog in order.

The mother frog lays eggs in a pond. After a while the eggs hatches into tadpoles with 2 legs and one long tail. Next,  2 legs grow bigger and the tail grow shorter.

Later the body grows bigger, and the legs grow bigger as well. The back legs grow longer so that it can hop high .The frog's tail disappear.The fingers grow bigger.Frogs skin are slimy and smooth.They grow spots. Now the frog is an adult.

 

The life of a chicken.

Learning Intention:we are learning to write  report about chicken.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I write a report about chicken using describing words.

Chicken are type of a bird.They are also a type of poultry. Chicken eats worm, corns, grubs and rice.Chickens have wings, feathers and a beak.Chickens can fly.

Hens lay their eggs in the nest covered with hay so that they can be warm.Eggs hatches into a baby chicks.  Chicks always follow their mother so that they wont get lost or get eaten.Chicks has small legs and two small wings.

The rooster are male,  they don't lay eggs.Roosters have very very long tail and colourful to a trake girls.Roosters have big red comb and wattle. Roosters wakes up animals in the morning by crowing loudly.The roosters comb are red. 

Chickens are animals that gives us food like curry chicken, KFC.
