Manaiakalani learning questionnaire

I was able to complete the Manaiakalani leaner questionnaire of 2019.

I answered these questions so that the Manaiakalani people could know more about me. I found out that the last few questions was a bit confusing.

Today we collected all the data for the highest daily temperatures in March and created a line graph in google sheets.

All about me - George

My name is George and I am Tongan, I go to a
Catholic school called St.Patrick’s. In my school every
Friday we have Mass, Jump Jam and then Art
and other catch up activities. I have great friend
who are kind and funny, we would always play in the
playground.

At home I have one brother who is thirteen years old.
Early every morning my family and I do morning prayer
together. We always go to the beach and hang out and
swim in the weekends.

I like writing because I can add adjectives, interesting
information, facts and use verbs to make it more
interesting. I have enjoyed being in a basketball team, and a
soccer team in the last 2 years. This year my challenge will be
trying to get to level 6 in the Beep Test. For this year my goal
is going to be trying to complete as much work as I can so
I can be a better learner. I’m looking forward to trying
hard in my work to make my mum proud. The person
that inspired me to play rugby was Jonah Lomu
because he was the best rugby
player I know.

How we can keep our hands more hygienic

Germs can infect our body which is why we should wash our hands.

We can protect our hands/bodys by washing our hands every day. Washing our hands is
one of the most important steps we do from getting us sick and spreading the germs to
other people.

This is why we should keep our hand clean.

It is important to wash our hands because some things we touch have bacteria and viruses.
People touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it. It could even make
us sick. Germs from unwashed hands and get into foods, drinks, and even the food we make.

That’s why washing our hands helps us stay healthy. Germs can also get onto our bodys
from our friends because they touch other objects. We can get germs by sneezing or
coughing on our hands. If other peoples hands are not washed off

they can be passed to other people and they could get sick.

Cleaning our hands keeps ourselves and others safe by eliminating bacteria and other germs that we could ingest.

Euphrasie Barbier

Euphrasie Barbier

Euphrasie Barbier was a founder of the Mission Sisters and was a New Zealand Roman Catholic Nun and teacher. She was born on 4th January 1829, in Caen France.  

Euphrasie Barbier worked at a laundry and soon opened her own laundry when she was 17. She was the eldest of five children, 4 girls and 1 boy. Euphrasie Barbier was a kind, and generous person who was faithful to God and her community. She confidently taught both woman and children who lived in poor countries. Euphrasie love and kindness, sent her all over the world to help marginalised people. She died in England on 18 January 1893 leaving behind schools she had opened and communities she had supported.

To be Like Euphrasie Barbier I could teach little kids about God, also I could visit other schools and teach them about religious education so they can connect to God

My week in school (2019)

My first day at St.Patrick's school was very cool, I made 2 new friends Jeremiah, and Christian. They are funny and cool.    

My teachers name is Mrs George, she is awesome and very kind, and also because she always lets us go out and play when its almost lunch break. When we do learning shes helps us to try understand more better.
