Prayer- By George.

Learning Intention:We are learning to recognise Lent as a season for turning back to God through prayer.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can write a simple prayer.

Thank you God for looking after my family. Help me in my schoolwork. Please help me to be kind and loving. Please give the people food, water, medicine and shelter.    

Ash Wednesday- by George.

Learning Intention:We are learning to write a recount using capital letters and full stops correctly.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I write a recount about Ash Wednesday using full stops and capital letters correctly.                               

On Ash Wednesday we went outside the church to burn the drawings of our favourites things that we gave up so we can have a place with God in heaven.After that we went inside the church and sat down to hear the mass.

Next the readers read the bible and the prayers. Finally father and Ms Bullot put the sign of the cross in our forehead using the ashes.

Jump Rope for the heart.

L.I.-W.A.L.T.-write a recount about jump rope using action words in a paragraph form.

Success Criteria:I am successful when I can write a recount in a paragraph form about the skip for the heart.

Hooray skipping is amassing! a few months ago all the juniors in Saint Patrick's school went skipping in the top court.When we started I first tried to do achieved my goal.But my goal was to do the double dutch to thirty or over.Then I started to skip up to thirty.

Next I tried again and I reached sixty two.Later I tried to do the cris-cross.When I tried the cris-cross ,I failed because it was to hard and I just wanted to try it out.Then I went to Te Riana and Christopher,they are using the long rope.    

Then I went away so that I can skip with one leg.I did it up to ten.After wards Mr.s Twomey came and hold  a big skipping rope and the other person will hold the side of the skipping rope.You get in and skip three times, then you must get out.

After that the other person had a turn.When Roneeza, Heneliena jump in after two seconds.Later when we finish we went back to class and wrote about it.   

How to bake potato Gratin.- By George

L.I.-W.A.L.T.-Write an instruction how to bake a potato Gratin using action words at the beginning of the sentence.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can write the instruction in order using verb at the beginning of the sentence how to bake potato Gratin.

Ingredients:                      
Potato
cheese sauce
salt
grated cheese.

Steps:
1.Wash the potato.
2.Slice the potato thinly.
3.Arrange the potato on the dish to cover the space.
4.Next, put the cheese on top of the potato.
5.Cover the potato with the cheese sauce.
6.Put another layer of potato on top of the cheese sauce.
7.Repeat the process,  until all ingredients are used.
8.Put the potato gratin in the oven to bake them, it will take at  least half an hour to be cooked.
9.Serve hot.

Pigs are animals.Pigs body is covered with hair.

A baby pig or a piglet weight about 1.50 kilograms at birth and will double its weight in just 7 days.Pigs are great swimmers, but, they roll around the mud to cool their skin.Pigs have 4 toes in each hoof but only walk on two toes per foot.      

Pigs are intelligent animals.Like humans, pigs are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and other animals.A pigs snout is important tool for finding food in the ground and sensing the world around them.Pigs have excellent sense of smell.There are around 2 billion pigs in the world.

People can use pigs as their pet.Wild pig are often hunted in the world.Pigs can learn quickly.They pick up tricks faster then dogs.Pigs are very social animals.
